Jobs For The Weekend

It's set to be a lovely weekend, weather wise, so its the perfect opportunity to get into the garden and get stuck into some of those early autumn tasks. Here's a few things you could be doing this weekend.

• Plant prepared hyacinths for Christmas flowering indoors
• Remove tired summer bedding and replace with winter flowering pansies
• Begin planting spring flowering bulbs
• Give the lawn its last mow of the year (hopefully!)
• While the weather is warm and wet weeds can still be a problem. Keep on top of things with regular weeding or by using a weed killer
• Work over the empty areas on the veg plot and apply some pelleted chicken manure

That should keep you out of trouble! Enjoy the sunshine.
